Test Results

On September 18, your son or daughter was given their PSAT 8/9 or PSAT 10 or SAT scores from Spring 2018 testing.  I would encourage you to review the information provided in the packet.  The detailed report includes a predictor for SAT scores, next steps for students and a question analysis and access code for students to review questions they need to improve before the next testing cycle.

Students should be regularly logging into Kahn Academy to obtain free SAT practice that is specific to their test results.  Last year, each student was given the opportunity to link their PSAT and Kahn academy accounts to best utilize this resource.  Log into www.kahnacademy.org for more information.

Seniors who would like to re-take the SAT may log in to www.collegeboard.org register for testing.

On October 10, our building will be participating in an important opportunity for college and career preparation.

~Juniors will be participating in the National Merit Qualifying Scholarship Test/PSAT Test.  Click here for  Scholarship information.

PLan Prepare....

~Freshman and Sophomores will have the opportunity to participate in a practice SAT test and get familiar with Kahn Academy resources.

~Seniors will participate in college and career exploration

Please encourage your son/daughter to come prepared. We will run an amended schedule for morning testing and afternoon classes.

Information Release to US Military

In an effort to ensure compliancy with the Every Student Succeeds Act (“ESSA”), we are required to provide directory information for Junior and Senior students to the US Military.  If you do NOT want this information shared with the military, you must designate this on your “Annual Student Information Update” which will be emailed to you in the next few weeks.  It will be completed online.

 Food Resources

Food resources are available in Ottawa County, and it’s now easier than ever to find those resources online. Residents can search for food pantries and community meals, either by date or location, at ottawafood.org/findfood.

 Note to Parents:

The high school building closes every day at 4:00 p.m.  If your student does not have a specific “after school” activity, please be sure they catch the bus or that they are picked up no later than 4:00 p.m.   After 4:00 p.m., students will no longer have access to the office area or academic wings, they may be picked up at the atrium of the cafeteria.
