Senior Spotlight 

Karly O’Hearn, Class of 2018, has an artwork that was selected as one of the top 100 works of art in the state of Michigan!  Her work (see picture above) will be on display at Richmond Center for Visual Arts at Western Michigan University from May 2-May 12.

A Bigger Than You Scholarship of $750 has been awarded to senior, Ms. Mirun Mekasha (pictured above).  Ms. Mekasha is a refugee from Ethiopia who will be attending Grand Rapids Community College next year.  She was awarded this scholarship based on the recommendations of her teachers who have described her as one of the most hardworking students that they have every had.  Her drive and passion for education has helped her to overcome many obstacles in her life.  It is because of this that we would like to congratulate her and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.

Athletic Physicals

In preparation for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year,  Jenison Athletics is pleased to announce Physical Night on June 5 from 5:30-7:30 pm in the Kamstra gym.  Again, we are offering three female doctors and three male doctors to help facilitate quick flow.  Cost is $15, no appointment necessary.  PARENT AND STUDENT SIGNATURES ARE REQUIRED!

Please make checks payable to JPS.  Physical forms will be available in the Athletic Office,  at jpsonline.org and on site.  If you have any questions, please call the Athletic Office at 667-3366.

 Food Resources

Food resources are available in Ottawa County, and it’s now easier than ever to find those resources online. Residents can search for food pantries and community meals, either by date or location, at ottawafood.org/findfood.

FREE Dental Clinic

 Note to Parents:

 The high school building closes every day at 4:00 p.m.  If your student does not have a specific “after school” activity, please be sure they catch the bus or that they are picked up no later than 4:00 p.m.   After 4:00 p.m., students will no longer have access to the office area or academic wings, they may be picked up at the atrium of the cafeteria.
